ECONAR has been producing geothermal heat pumps in Minnesota for over two decades. Minnesota’s cold winter climate has driven the design of ECONAR’s heating and cooling equipment to what is known as a “ColdClimate” geothermal heat pump. RenewAire manufactures energy recovery ventilators. RenewAire Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) is the technology that completes the HVAC system in your home, apartment or condominium. RenewAire exhausts pollutants and excess moisture. It efficiently recovers heat from the exhaust stream during cold weather and pre-cools and pre-dehumidifies incoming air during hot, muggy weather. This means better indoor air quality (IAQ) for your family and less risk of moisture related damage to your home.

Today, energy and cost efficient homes are built airtight to reduce air and moisture infiltration. However, this air tightness results in poor house ventilation. This can create many indoor air quality problems including mold and unpleasant odors. While opening windows for ventilation is an option, this also defeats the purpose of building a tight home in the first place. It is recommended that such houses have a controlled way of moving fresh air into the house and removing stale/contaminated air from it.
